Part-3

Hi!!
Next day on 6th....we...the first 24 people were having their GTO tasks....i.e. a set of physical tasks which comprise of group as well as individual tests....all tasks requires mind power..not the muscle power......as told by our GTO.......
Our GTO was a pilot.....what a gem of a person he was yaar....what a personality.......he made all of us comfortable  about all the processes....all the rules....all the various guidelines....

Our first task was a set of three obstacle areas......our group was divided into 8 members ....
The three tasks .....we claimed to complete in 30 minutes.....we were given a plank...a balli....a rope.....a bucket load.......and we were require to cross the line by not touching the ground....the field consisted of some various benches...poles.....small supports....the colour codes were given...where to touch and where not to.......

after the 8 group task....we were made into group of 4-4....and were given a touch task to show all the capabilities we have......

after this we had our individual obstacles...in which 10 obstacles were to be completed in 3 minutes.....the obstacles have some particular points assigned to them and we have to earn 55 points......their is no any particular sequence of obstacle...we can choose where we want to start from.....

Huuuufffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.............................................a tiring day.............

After our lunch.....we were allowed to go out in the city........
We went to the Clock Tower in Dehradun........its known as the "Ghantaghar"......by the locals....we searched and found very very very.......**** *i*l* in and around the places .....no body had seen a **** in last 2-3 days......all gone mad after we saw the beauty of Dehradun.......

Me with 3 other very cool friends.......went to Barista....we were sooooo amazed to see the quality of crowd and decided that ....whenever we'll have time in these 5-6 days...we will definitely come back..........

Next day was my Interview.........was a bit nervous before but the Interviewing officer made me comfortable......he opened all the pages of my life with ease.....and I had to answer....I had already decided...no bluffs....no lies........
yaaar he asked me about Everything........really Everything..........and i mean it.......

I will dedicate a post only about my interview afterwards..........
Interview lasted for about 40-45 minutes.........

Again we were headed to Barista.......this time we were 9 in count........after this we went to the" Buddha Temple"....which is a pure Tibetan temple.......after coming in the confines of the temple...we thought we are not in India....all looked Chinese.......small eyes....small nose.......dam cute faces.......but we were not able to identify whether they are Chinese...Tibetian....Korean...or others......One thing about which I am sure is........and I know everyone will agree with me is that.....All were Humans.......all helping each other.....all were concentrating to the religious Tibetan chants.....all were offering prayers......all were greeting each other.....all were like a one family.......and offering our gratitude towards lord Buddha......

Next day was a day off and we 13 people were planning to go to Massori.......which unfortunately due to timing constraints didn't happened......

The next day we went to Sahastradhaara........a place were a type of medicated water flows from the mountains and because of it ...we are always immune to the skin diseases and if we drink ....we are immune to the stomach related problems........

I only washed my face......bahot thanda tha yaaaar..........bahot zyada..........
If someone wants to wash his or her face...contact me....I got a small can filled with the Sahastradhaara water........ :)

After this we went to the Buddha Temple again for some shopping and also to visit the temples we we left in out previous visit....

The next day was the conference..........Its a process when the whole board can see you and judge..........It is again a part of the psychological play.......yes....we are all the time tested.....the gates can confuse you.........which one to push you ...which one to pull.......but I personally think....I did all things properly.......completed all the tests....enjoyed them......had a good time.......got some very good friends......learned new things.......enjoyed the weather.......

In the final result only 8 people made it to the medicals....and unfortunately......or anything else.......I was not in the final 8..............

.....................................................................................................................

A silence broke and someone said to me....." koi gall nahi yaar.....phir se aa jaenge.....apna kaam hai 100% dena...humne diya.......iss baar nahi toh koi baat nahi......chal abb saamaan lene.....ek hi bus main jaaenge enjoy karte hue......"

and yes...he was right.......

many people were having there repeat attempts .....someone had this as their 3rd.......8th.....2nd.....SSB......they were also not the final 8.........but what they want...only they knows...........

Back to normal now......

We had our lunch and went towards the bus station.....the ISBT........catched a bus for Delhi.....and the next day I was roaming around the lanes of Delhi....the subways....the Metro......the S.N. Market....burger at the Lodhi Colony......Carrot Juice at the I.N.A Market.........enjoyed everything.......

on 11th....I was back in Indore......during the journey I met with very interesting people.......

Bahot lamba post ho gaya yaar....chalo thanks for reading.....

Experience of a life time.....Part-1

hi all.....

this post is purely dedicated towards my journey to the AFSB.......how i reached there....how we survived....( in the cold...and the competition...)........how i met some of the most wonderful people and places............

so here it goes.......hope it will help others....who aspires to go there....

i had to reach Dehradun(Uttarakhand)....so i took a train to Delhi on 3rd......then on 4th i took Dehradun Janshatabhi ...which reaches Dehradun at 9:10 p.m. ........although a direct train is available from Indore to Dehradun but it runs only on weekends.......

soo....i reached Dehradun railway station at 9:30 p.m.....i made some very nice friends in the train....while in my way........so we booked a room for 5 in 400 rs.........

then we reported at the railway station MCO office at 7:00 a.m........officers checked our details.....and identity.......and took us towards Clement Town area.....where the Air Force Selection Board is located....in the bus..........

then after reaching there.......we were told to fill a form.....tickets were submitted and also some basic formalities were completed......

after that our document check was done.......the document check is exhaustive......they ask for all the certificates and proofs......after all these processes....we had some tea and bread.......and the real process is about to begin....

we were allotted chest numbers......

i prayed for the lucky number and they game me chest no. 43.......

then we gave a intelligence and psychological test...the test consists of 40 questions......which were to e done in only 17 mins.......i screwed the first test.....

a second test of the same type.....this time i got over my doubts and game my best shot....completed more then 35 in that......

then we were queued up in lines and were taken to a hall.....

we were shown a blurred image on the projector....and we had to write 1) action 2) Story 3) position..mood...and age of the images shown in the picture....

i wrote a good story about the picture......all minute details are described from the psychologist no need to have any doubts in that.......

then we were headed towards a Group discussion room.....we were told to close our sheets...and narrate our story in 45 secs.....which we had written in 2 minutes......when the last one will end...we all have to immediately start a discussion and make a common story.....

as u all must have guessed....GD's are always a fish market whenever a REAL selection procedure is going on......i put some of my valuable points briefly and stayed quit ......2-3 more entries.....

then we were told to have our lunch in the Candidates mess.......and were told to wait for the screening results.......

after 50-55 mins....the results were out and 48 people got selected for the next phase.....the rest were again headed back towards railway station after giving their mobile phones back..and the freshers were given the TA ........

this time i got chest number 7.......and after a break of 10 mins ...all the candidates were told to again appear for a 3 hours rigorous testing schedule........the tests are important so i will cover all four of them in my next post.....

4 days......half of India covered......

hi friends.....

as the title says.....i have covered half of our country in 4 days.....
i was in Pune on 1st....Indore on 3rd........Delhi on 4th.........and again forwarded towards Dehradun on 4th..........now I am back in Indore via Delhi.......whole lot of experiences.........and I must say....what I learned in these 10 days.......i will never forget this.....i met with new people....interacted with them.....made some very nice friends......Indians as well as foreigners.......
Indians showed me with their culture and their way of handling and enjoying day to day events.....the foreigners showed me their own perspective.......

now definitely i am going to write my complete experience at the Air Force Selection Board in detail......but i will dedicate a separate post for it.........

I also went to some places.....which were in India.....but not exactly involved into Indian qualities.......

****their are some facts.....****

1. Every 5 kms the language and the assent changes....
2. Northern people get involved quickly with all people....
3. Southern people are mostly introvert....they don't interact with others...and don't initiate.....and then blame that the others are neglecting them........
4. Foreigners love India.......
5. The Mumbai attacks were sponsored and the training was given by CIA......  :)
6. Ompal is a very famous character.......where I went to.....he he he.....
7. Engineers are every where the same................

keep in touch....

Jai Hind.........
